It all started when

"The Saturday Secret"

Every Saturday morning, the house came alive with the smell of Cornish pasties. Mum would be in the kitchen before anyone else, hands dusted with flour, humming softly.

She never used a recipe — just her hands, her heart, and a memory passed down from her mum.

I used to sit at the table, watching her crimp each pasty with practiced care. “This is how your gran did it,” she’d say. “And one day, you will too.”

Now, years later, I find myself in my own kitchen, fingers folding dough the same way.

And as the smell of baking pasties fills the air, I smile — the tradition lives on.
